  • The Product Value Drop Pattern is used in several patterns across all stages of the customer experience.

It is part of the value patterns in this library. The library aims to preserve the planet. But the patterns of the library aim to preserve the value of products, as this is what customers are more likely to act on.

On the detail page of a product, the customer can see the average, decreasing value curve of his product. A second curve shows the best value curve for his product, which of course requires some maintenance.

Visually, this creates a higher sense of urgency than the Product Value Indicator Pattern in this section of the library.

Look up the Product Value Lock Pattern in the maintenance, repair and upgrade section of this library to learn how this sense of urgency can trigger customers to do maintenance.

  • To trigger a customer to preserve the value of his product, it needs a sense of urgency.

  • Regular maintenance preserves the performance and condition of a product and extends its lifetime.
