The Product Value Indicator Pattern is used in several patterns across all stages of the customer experience.
It is part of the value patterns in this library. The library aims to preserve the planet. But the patterns of the library aim to preserve the value of products, as this is what customers are more likely to act on.
The Product Value Indicator can display the value of a product in all stages of the life cycle:
. The purchase price
. The value drop directly after purchase
. The Value drop after one year
. The value drop after two years
. The value that might be added after an upgrade
. The value after five years
And several values like resale offers within the value range of the product.
To learn how these work, please look up the Resell Offers pattern in the reuse and resell section of this library.

Customers claim to care for the environment, but there is a common value-action-gap when it comes to act accordingly.

Preserving the value of products also extends their lifetime, saves resources and reduces waste.
